The Owner's Story
My story:
I decided I wanted to be a remodeler while pursuing a degree to become a teacher back in 2003. I wasn’t sure exactly how to go about it, but I knew that’s what I wanted to do. I finished my Associates in Liberal Arts and then started taking Construction Management classes at WCC. I received my Michigan Residential Builders license in 2006.
I started Ann Arbor Remodeling LLC in 2013. It has been an interesting journey so far. I truly love working with clients and my team, and bringing designs to life. The projects we take on are not always easy or straight forward, but I take great joy in the final result as well as the process to get there.
Building a team has been the most rewarding part of the process. By following the principals laid out in The Ideal Team Player, finding and hiring the right people has been quite a fulfilling process. While others in the industry have complained for years that there is no good help out there, we have hired for character and personality and developed the skills along the way. It truly takes a team to deliver a phenomenal client experience, and that has been what I have been striving for since founding the company.
I am grateful I found something I love to do at a young age and that I was able to figure out how to make a career out of it. I am thankful for our team and our clients, and I look forward to continuing to take on new and exciting projects.

Principles Of Our Work
1. We put our employees first
Our employees are the key to delivering a great experience to our clients. We believe in creating jobs that offer growth and the ability to have work/life balance.
2. Client experience
Delivering exceptional workmanship is not the only factor in a successful job. Getting to the finish line is not our goal. We believe delivering an exceptional experience to our clients is the key to a successful project. We do this by having open and frequent communication, setting realistic expectations from the start, and always doing the right thing.
3. Fostering a culture of craftsmanship
Our goal is to do the highest quality work that we are capable of, and not focusing how fast we can get it done. This intentional focus allows our younger generation to develop skills, and our experienced craftsman to keep their passion for the craft alive. We believe this is the key to developing and retaining unskilled workers and transforming them into craftsman. There is a shortage of skilled craftsman nationwide, and we are doing our part to create solutions to this issue.
