Nolan Sandberg

Brings precision and creativity from his background in engineering and landscape architecture to managing remodeling projects.
Loves exploring other countries, trying new foods, and spending time outdoors with his wife and two boys.
Enjoys blacksmithing, reading, and beekeeping in his free time.
Joe Ewald
Lead Carpenter
Joined the team in 2021
Enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and their dogs.
Joe is the first client of AAR to join the team. AAR did an extensive first floor renovation for the Ewald’s in 2018. Joe previously was an athletic trainer for a local high school for over 14 years.
Cristy Lindemann
Project Manager + Pre-Construction Manager
Joined the team in 2021
Has over 25 years of construction and remodeling experience. She has a passion for education and excellence.
She previously led the local Community College Construction Management and Technology Program. Fun fact – Cristy was actually Justin’s instructor when he attended WCC.
Andrew Dorrough
Carpenter
Joined the team in 2021
Went through the Ann Arbor Student Building Industry Program.
He is from California, and still not a fan of Michigan Winters.
Ben Lutzeier
Production Manager
Joined the team in 2022
Has over 20 years of experience in the construction and remodeling industry including building custom homes.
Loves traveling with his wife, spending time out on the boat, and hanging out with his kids
Nick Mulholland
Carpenter
Joined the team in 2023
He moved here from South Carolina, but is originally from Maryland. He has a lot of previous experience in interior door and trim installation.

James Kolic

He has over 10 years of painting experience, as well as almost a decade in excavation work.
He enjoys spending time with his daughter and son, as well as going fishing.
Dan Bukowski
Estimator
Joined the team in 2023
Has over 15 years of experience in the corporate world of mortgages and banking.
He was a client of AAR in 2018 (1st Floor Remodel) and also 2016 (Basement Remodel). He has an insightful view what it is like to live through a remodeling project, and understand how important of a role communication plays.
Mark Schiller
Lead Carpenter
Joined the team in 2024
Previously ran his own construction company. He has over 20 years of remodeling and construction experience.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. They enjoy being on the lake and snowmobiling.
Phil Brooks
Part-time Master Finish Carpenter
Joined the team in 2018
He worked as a Lead Carpenter for 5 years with us before he decided to retire. After retiring, he missed us so much he decided to come back part-time 🙂
Anyone who has worked with Phil, has been able to sponge some knowledge off of him as he has so much experience to share. He has been a huge blessing to our team.

He keeps our warehouse and shop space clean and organized.
He is currently enrolled at EMU finishing up his degree.
